Our Story

More Than Traditional Property Management

White Stag Land & Estate Management was founded on a simple idea: property owners deserve dependable local presence when they cannot be there themselves.

We have seen how hard it can be to manage rural land, acreage, and remote homes from a distance. Limited visibility, inconsistent updates, deferred maintenance, and small issues can turn into larger problems before an owner even knows something has changed.

Our approach is different from traditional property management. We focus on stewardship, field visibility, clear reporting, and dependable follow-through.

We support rural landowners, second-home owners, recreational property holders, business and investment properties, large landholdings, and private estates throughout the Inland Northwest.

The name White Stag carries personal meaning for us. Inspired by the mythical white stag of Hungarian folklore, it represents guidance, perseverance, and the pursuit of new beginnings. Those ideas continue to shape how we serve owners and care for the properties entrusted to us.

Our goal is straightforward: provide proactive oversight, clear communication, and peace of mind through trusted local stewardship.

The Founders

Local Stewardship Backed by Service, Experience, and Trust

Attila Iklady, a U.S. Army Veteran, and Karlan Bennett, a retired law enforcement Lieutenant, built White Stag around a shared belief: rural properties deserve consistent oversight, proactive communication, and dependable local stewardship.

Attila Iklady

Co-Founder

Born in Hungary, Attila immigrated to the United States with his family at a young age and spent much of his life moving throughout different parts of the country.

Those experiences shaped his appreciation for hard work, adaptability, strong relationships, and earning trust through consistency and service to others.

After serving in the 82nd Airborne Infantry, he built a career across several service-based industries, naturally gravitating toward leadership, communication, and relationship-focused roles.

After purchasing property in North Idaho and managing it from a distance, Attila experienced the same concerns many owners face: limited visibility, uncertainty, and the need for someone local who could be trusted to keep an eye on the property.

Today, Attila and his fiancée Jenn live in the Coeur d’Alene area and enjoy all that this beautiful region has to offer while continuing to build roots in the North Idaho community.

Karlan Bennett

Co-Founder

After a 30-year career in law enforcement and retiring as a Lieutenant, Karlan and his wife Melissa chose to make North Idaho home while raising their family.

They were drawn to the area’s strong sense of community, independence, self-sufficiency, and outdoor lifestyle.

Over the years, Karlan became the person family and friends called when they needed a dependable hand, help checking on a property, or someone they could trust to follow through.

Stewardship, responsibility, and helping others have always been central to who he is, both personally and professionally.

After decades of public service, rural property stewardship felt like a natural next chapter.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time outdoors with family and friends throughout North Idaho.
